Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Heirloom Tomatoes Assorted Colors
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Start by rinsing the heirloom tomatoes and gently patting them dry with a clean towel. Slice the larger tomatoes into wedges, while leaving the smaller ones whole or cutting them in half.
  • Arrange the sliced and whole tomatoes in a large serving bowl, making sure to showcase the different colors and shapes. Isn't it just so gorgeous?! 🌈
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and balsamic vinegar until well combined. The aroma of that aged balsamic is going to make your mouth water!
  • Drizzle the tangy-sweet vinaigrette over the tomatoes, then gently toss to coat everything evenly. You want all those juices to soak in!
  • Sprinkle the fresh basil leaves over the top, followed by the sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Those pops of green are going to make this salad pop!
  • Give the salad one final gentle toss to incorporate all the flavors. Can you just imagine how amazing this is going to taste?
  • Let the salad sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving. This gives the tomatoes a chance to really soak up all that deliciousness.
