  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • For the Pepperoni Pizza:
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20-25 slices pepperoni
  • For the Combo Pizza:
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10-15 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until it doubles in size.
  • Prepare the Sauce:
  • In a medium saucepan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Assemble the Pizza:
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions for two large pizzas.
  • Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spread a generous amount of sauce over the dough, leaving about an inch of the edge for the crust.
  • Add the Toppings:
  • Cheese Pizza: Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Pepperoni Pizza: Add the shredded mozzarella, then evenly place the pepperoni slices on top.
  • Combo Pizza: Add the shredded mozzarella, followed by the pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and black olives.
  • Bake the Pizza:
  • Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
