Apple Turkey Brine

A fruity brine with apple cider and fresh herbs for a juicy and flavorful turkey.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1/2 cup kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 2 cups cold water

Instructions

  • Combine apple cider, kosher salt, and brown sugar in a pot. Heat until dissolved.
  • Add rosemary, thyme, and black peppercorns. Stir well.
  • Let the brine cool completely and add 2 cups cold water.
  • Submerge turkey in the brine and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
  • Rinse turkey before cooking.
